We love walk ins! However there are periods of the year that we are busier than others, we will always do our best to fit every one in however we encourage you to head into store early so you don't miss out!
All of our studios are equipped with hospital grade autoclave sterilisers, that are serviced and maintained as per AS/NZ standards! Our crew receive extensive and ongoing training in sterilisation practices to ensure the highest standards of hygiene. All needles a strictly single use and disposed of appropriately, immediately after use.
No, we do not use stud guns for any body piercing as they cannot be sterilised to an appropriate medical standard due to their material and construction. Stud guns can also cause “blunt force trauma” to tissue that can cause prolonged healing and/or damage.
Unfortunately no. As per skin penetration standards we cannot legally apply numbing solutions to any site prior to or post procedure. It is also important to note that numbing solutions if applied can impact your body’s natural reaction and recovery from shock as well as its healing. If you have applied a numbing solution yourself, we will not pierce you as a safety precaution.
You're tough as nails though, you can do this!
We strictly use Surgical Grade Stainless Steel (316LSSS) and implant grade Titanium (G23) packaged, sterilised, and stored as per AS/NZ standards.
Unfortunately not. We can only use our own, in-house sterilised jewellery to ensure you are pierced with an appropriate material for the safest healing possible. If you have a specific style or piece of jewellery, you would like fitted, we are more than happy to assist you with this once your piercing has healed.
As many piercings as you want done in one session!
However, the body's ability to heal suggests more than three piercings in one session can slow down the healing process.
You should wait until your piercing has completely healed before you change your jewellery, otherwise you may put yourself at risk of infection or rejection if you do not wait the appropriate time.
Healing time depends on what type of piercing that you get.
We would love to! If you purchase jewellery from our store we will even change it over for you on the day, free of charge. We charge a $5 fee to change over jewellery that you bring along on the day, this fee covers expenses for the set-up & sterilisation of instruments.
Cost for a piercing will change depending on what jewellery you choose; you must go with what is best for your anatomy. However click here to see our full service fee price list. You can also give your local Punktured Piercers a visit and have a free consult, you can discuss and decide on your jewellery then get an accurate quote.
